CURRICULUM

Humanities

Children in years 1 to 6 have two humanities lessons per week; the first lesson being enquiry and skill based where children have the opportunity to investigate artefacts and resources, the second lesson focuses on writing and recording.

This is an exciting year for humanities as our new curriculum brings opportunities in history for children to learn about historical events in London, England and the Ancient World.
Our geography curriculum explores London and the rest of the UK and makes comparisons with other countries around the world. We are continuing to develop our international links with schools in France, Uganda, Chile and India.
Given our close proximity to central London we take every opportunity to enrich our curriculum with visits to the many museums and galleries London offers.

We also organise workshops, music and theatre groups to support learning.
