PARENTS AND PUPILS

Working with parents and the community is a great strength at Cleves. We work towards this by holding regular events such as:

  • Parents' Afternoons and Evenings, curriculum summaries and curriculum targets for every child
  • Encouragement for parents to help in class and homework
  • Translation services
  • Parents' training courses
  • How to help your child at home
  • ICT skills
  • Book Fairs
  • Parental involvement is central to school development

Pupil School Council

Cleves’ Pupils choose representatives from their classes to attend School Council Meetings. The School Council work hard to represent the pupils’ ideas and needs from all classes and age groups. Children's ideas have generated new gardens and play spaces across the school.
School Council are currently:

  • taking views from each class about current school issues
  • working on becoming a greener school through a variety of recycling projects with all year groups
